The battle of Naru and the Feral Predator brought the Predator franchise back to its roots, but not everyone is as pure-hearted and well-intentioned as Prey shows its protagonist to be. A hunter antagonist opposite Naru could view the Predator as the ultimate hunting victory, and Naru herself as an obstacle to the glory that would come with it. Naru is arguably the first human protagonist of the Predator franchise to have been one-step ahead of the fearsome, skull mask-wearing Predator at all times. While past Predator heroes like Dutch and Royce (Adrien Brody) in Predators held their own, they were still portrayed as having the odds stacked against them.
